The body of Mobarak Hossain, a Jubo League leader, was found floating in the Brahmaputra River in Sonargaon, Narayanganj, four days after he went missing. The body, with hands and feet tied, was discovered on Wednesday evening in the Alampura area of Jamapur Union.
Upon receiving the news, the police at Baidyabazar outpost have begun efforts to recover the body, according to Inspector Mahbubur Rahman. He stated, "We received information about a body floating in the Brahmaputra River. Police have been sent to the scene for recovery."
Mobarak Hossain, a member of the 8th Ward Jubo League of Sadipur Union, had gone missing last Saturday. The following day, his nephew Sharif Mia filed a general diary at Sonargaon Police Station regarding his disappearance. Mobarak was a mason by profession.
The deceased's nephew, Sharif Mia, said that Mobarak Hossain, the son of Abdul Awal from Golnagar village in Sadipur Union, had left home last Saturday afternoon, saying he was going out for a walk. However, he did not return. After his disappearance, the family searched at the homes of relatives but could not find any trace of him. On the following Sunday, Sharif Mia filed a general diary (GD) at Sonargaon Police Station. On Wednesday evening, the body of Mobarak Hossain was found floating in Alampura area of Jamapur Union, with his hands and feet tied. Locals informed the police, and upon their arrival, they identified the body as Mobarak Hossain's.
